你注意到了whose在语义上等于 of which, 但你忽略了whose是属格关系限定词，属格限定词都是特指限定词，即whose cover中的cover是特指的。当你把whose改为of which后置修饰cover时，你必须表示出cover是特指的，需要定冠词the。即whose cover= the cover of which = of which the cover. B 选项的错误在于cover前少了表示特指的定冠词。以下三句都是正确的：

Please pass me the dictionary whose cover is black.

Please pass me the dictionary of which the cover is black.

Please pass me the dictionary the cover of which is black.
