这里的so是修饰little success,是不是换成such会更好点？

是不是漏掉了 were：

这里，but with so little success that in the end we called her "Miss Matty" again. 是并列句中的第二个分句。承前省略了没有必要再次重复的成分：We were all tired。

We were all tired, but we were all tired with so little success that in the end we called her "Miss Matty" again.

2. with so little success that in the end we called her "Miss Matty" again，在第二个分句中作结果状语。

3. 这是so...that...结构。之后有 little （数量少）时，用 so 不用 such。
