▲no less ... than 有两个用法：
一是表示同等性，意思是“与……一样”、“不比……差”(强调两者具有同等性)。如：
He is no less wise than you. 他跟你一样聪明。（两者一样 wise）
A dolphin is no less a clever animal than a dog is. 海豚与狗同样都是聪明的动物。（两者一样 clever）
It was no less a personage than the bishop. 这是与主教同等重要的人物。（同样是personage）
European leaders met through the night for 11 hours with no less a task than saving the euro currency. 欧洲领导人聚在一起，通宵开了11个小时的会议，要完成挽救欧元这一任务。（“挽救欧元”与其他工作一样属于重要任务）
二是表示惊奇，意思是“竟然”。如：
Good heavens! It’s no less a person than the president! 天哪！原来竟是总统啊！
The message came from no less a person than the prime minister. 电文竟是首相发来的。
▲比较 no more…than（与……一样不）的用法：
A whale is no more a fish than a horse is.
(1) 马与鲸一样，都不是鱼。
(2) 马不是鱼，鲸也不是鱼

▲ “no + 比较级 + than”也是一种比较结构。这种结构，主句和比较从句全都否定。表示主句和从句的内容都不。此外，注意“no +比较级”的两种拼写情况：
1. no taller than... （少音节的形容词副词后加-er。注意：不可出现no more tall than 或者 no more taller than 的情况！）
例如：
His grammar is no better than mine. 他的语法同我的一样不好。
He is no taller than I. （He is as short as I. ） 他和我一样个子都不高。
This room is no bigger than that. 
这个房间和那个房间都不大。
2. no more beatiful than... （多音节的形容词副词前加more）
例如：
Tom was no more surprised than (he was) disappointed at this news. 汤姆听见那消息既不惊讶也不失望。
He is no more considerate of others than his brother is. 他不体谅别人，就跟他弟弟一样。
He is no more hard working than she is. 他跟她一样都不用功。
▲关于 no less +原级+ than：
这跟上面句式2是一个类型。不过，属于双重否定，等于肯定。例如：
She is no less hard-working than he is. 他跟她一样都很用功。
He is no less clever than his elder brother. 他和他的大哥一样聪明。
She is no less good at swimming than Mary. 她和玛丽一样擅长游泳。
