1 less time中的less为限定词，限定词只能位于名词前，不可以用作名词后。所以不可以改为in time less than...。
2 the way引导方式状语从句为非正式语体，等于as引导的方式状语从句。也有人把as引导的这种从句分析为宾语补足语从句。例如: We should leave the things as they are. as从句有人分析为宾补从句。改为被动语态则为，The things should be left as they are. as引导主补从句。但如果用the way引导从句，则分析为方式状语为宜。
