请问这里面的though是做连词吗，如果连词做状语从句不是只能省略be动词吗，套上去好像不对。如果把though看成是and这样的用法（我不知道这类叫啥），也就是看成though Adams not praised his“profound dissimulation(掩饰)”and“fawning servility“也就是作者用反讽手法说明“他的极度虚伪和具有阿谀奉承的奴性”吗

though 仍然是从属连词，表示让步。但在翻译时，可以按照并列连词翻译为“但是；不过”，按照 but 去处理。本句的翻译：
