你的质疑是有道理的，但问题不是出在这道高考题，而是出在国内英语词典对official的翻译，official 的英文释义是a person who has a position of authority in a company, organization, or government: a person who holds an office（摘自韦氏高阶），相应的双解词典的翻译“高级职员”“官员”，将其来直译你的句子中确实有些不妥。不过变通一下，可以考虑将 official 可理解为“工作人员”，即：林普尼港的工作人员对这只新出生的黑犀牛感到非常高兴……
