It’s an interactive feature that lets visitors key in job criteria such as location, title, and salary, then E-mails them when a matching position is posted in the database.（开头的it代指前文的“个人搜索引擎”）

这是一个有两个谓语动词并列的定语从句，但是如果分开放的话后一句是An interactive feature that e-mails them when a matching position is posted in the database.

“一个交互性的功能给他们发邮件”这样不对吧？但是又不知道错在哪里，希望老师解答！

句子没有问题，是你误解了them的意思。them不是指visitors, 而是指 location, title, and salary 这样的job criteria (复数）。即你作为visitors键入想找的工作的具体要求，该搜索引擎就会在有匹配的工作时自动把你的要求发往招聘单位。
