demand sth 后面可以只跟一个 adv.吗

来自Reader's Digest中一篇文章中的一个句子：

The Moldovans demanded the photos pronto.

the Moldovans 是一对夫妻，他们要求能尽快拿到照片。根据the Longman Dictionary，pronto是一个副词。由于我是第一次见到 demand sth adv. 这种结构，所以想来讨教一下，这种用法是否规范常见呢？谢谢！

demand可以后接单宾语。如《朗文》例句：I demand an explanation! 你知道这种用法，可以在此基础上加一个状语：I demand an explanation immediately. 这是很正常的。
