请问need和dare作为情态动词时，有过去式needed和dared吗？

You needed not come so early和You didn't need to come so early都对吗？

I dared not speak to her和I didn't dare to speak to her都对吗？

You needed not come so early. （误。你按照情态动词否定，但情态动词无过去式）

You didn't need to come so early.（正。你按照实意动词否定）

I dared not speak to her. （正。你按照情态动词否定，情态动词有过去式）

I didn't dare to speak to her（正。你按照实意动词否定）

补充一个内容：实意动词 dare，在否定句和疑问句中，不定式符号 to 可以省略。所以：

I didn't dare speak to her（正。）

dare 这个词比较特殊，和其它情态动词不同，具备两重性。所以你的那两个说法都对。我再给你写一个：No one can dare speak to her. 这句话对吗？也许不少网友都不知对错。
