▲同意刘老师的解答！我想既然这位网友问及“neglect后接动词用不定式还是动名词”，估计是在用不定式或动名词方面拿不定主意，所以这里稍稍补充一点：
表示因为疏忽而漏做某事或忘了做某事，neglect 后既可接不定式，也可接动名词，只是用不定式要比用动名词更普通。如：
Don’t neglect locking [to lock] the door when you leave. 走的时候别忘了锁门。
▲葛传椝的《英语惯用法词典》在neglect在词条有如下用法说明：
1. neglect（动词）后面接不定式比接动名词普通，如 He neglected to reply to my letter 比 He neglected replying to my letter 普通。
2. your neglect to write the address 是“因为你的疏忽而不曾写地址”，your neglect in writing the address 是“因为你的疏忽而把地址写错或写得不好”。
