2 课文的3个小疑问

1：课文注释这个语法点，好像很少见，是不是写成：old and new pupils of the school 就是错误的呢？

2：We shall all remember 的all是修饰remember还是修饰we的呢？

3：as引导的是定语从句吗？

就是修饰一整句话：one is never too old to learn，即：

one is never too old to learn, which he has often remarked.

1 old and new = old pupils and new pupils, 为非限制性同位语，对前面的pupils作补充说明。你改为old and new pupils of the school 也是正确的，此时则无需补充说明。注意这里不是形容词作非限制性定语。形容词作非限制性后置定语可以扩充为定语从句，即 who are old and new. 但这里不能说the pupils are old and new.

2 all 为代词作主语we的同位语。由于句子中有操作词shall, all通常至于操作词之后，实意动词之前。

3 as从句在传统语法被分析为非限制性定语从句，as的先行词为 one is never too old to learn。
