句子理解与翻译

I wouldn't go as far as to say that he's a liar.

我倒不想说他是个骗子。

不太能理解这个句子，这个句子出自牛津高阶英汉双解词典。

as far as看词典是目前是就...而言，但不理解为什么这么理解？

后一个as看某些资料是连词，连状语从句，这里连的是哪一种状语从句》

能帮忙分析下这个句子里的各个成分及对应单词的理解吗，感觉只是依照词典里给的单词的解释，实在有些难以理解。

I wouldn't go as far as to say that he's a liar.

我详解一下go as far as...的含义：

go 在很多情况下，不表示“去；走”，而是比喻意义，表示一个人的 “所思所想、所作所为” 。as far as 是比较结构，说明 “所思所想、所作所为的程度跟......一样深远”，也就是跟后面不定式的动作形成比较。意思是：我的所思所想、所作所为达到了 “说他是个骗子” 的程度。

肯定句：I went as far as to say that he's a liar.
我甚至说他是个骗子。（我的所作所为所想，已达到了说他是个骗子的程度）

否定句：I wouldn't go as far as to say that he's a liar.
我不至于会说他是个骗子。（我的所作所为所想，还不会达到说他是个骗子的程度）
