这是as 引导的比较分句，对主句作补充说明。as后省略了 is。如果补全is, 就是传统语法中的as引导的非限制性定语从句，as 指代主句内容。这种as分句通常都要和主句用逗号隔开，你的这个句子应该用逗号隔开的。请看《韦氏高阶》词典例句，都是用逗号的：
