agree sb to do sth符合英语习惯吗

1. agree sb’s doing sth

He agreed to my leaving early on Friday.

One would think I had agreed to her going.

2. agree to let sb do sth

He agreed to let me go home.

Mr Nunn has kindly agreed to let us use his barn for the dance.

agree是不及物动词,所以不能用agree sb. to do sth.

agree with sb. to do sth. / agree with sb. doing sth. / agree to sb. doing sth.

I don’t agree with people to smoke all day long.

=I don’t agree with people smoking all day long.

=I don’t agree to people smoking all day long.

可以是agree with sb about/on sth。例如:

Do you agree with me about the need for more schools?
