I wonder if this blandness of our diet doesn’t explain why so many of us are overweight and even dangerously so.

wonder 后面有 not 时，实际上这种句子的意思是肯定的。因为 wonder 是个间接疑问词，间接疑问词加 not 实际上就等于肯定。例如：...... I wonder whether she will not come. 我想她一定一定会来的。（《薄冰英语惯用法词典》p. 1341）

网友的句子就属于这种情况。doesn’t explain 也可以改为 explains ，但是，译文不同：I wonder if ... doesn’t explain 的意思是“我想 ...... 一定能解释”；I wonder if ... explains 的意思是 “我想知道......是否能解释......”。
