英语中有没有时间做定语的情况？

比如：汉语中说今天的报纸。还比如下面这句

Shanghai's arts and cultural scene appears to have fully recovered from the pandemic, with the authorities announcing on March 18 that theaters and other public entertainment facilities could operate at full capacity.

其中，announcing 后面的on March 18 难道不算是announcing的定语吗？

with the authorities announcing on March 18 that theaters and other public entertainment facilities could operate at full capacity 这是with复合结构，即介词with后接复合宾语。其中the authorities为宾语，announcing on March 18 that theaters and other public entertainment facilities could operate at full capacity为现在分词短语作宾补。Announcing是现在分词，不是名词，哪里来的定语呢？on March 18为announcing的时间状语，后面的that从句为announcing的宾语从句。

1. 你问英语里有没有时间做定语的情况，如汉语中的：今天的报纸。英语里这种现象也很普遍呀，如：morning paper, afternoon tea, the musical performance at 10 am 等。

2. 你写的这段话中，announcing 是分词还是动名词，不是最重要的，现代语法都称为Ving形式。我理解为动名词，= with the authorities' announcing that.... that后面显然是announcing的宾语从句。所以，announcing 有动词作用，那么时间显然做状语。你的错误在于，把that后理解为同位语从句，这是你出错的关键。为什么不是同位语从句？因为如果是同位语从句，announcing 要改用其本身的名词形式announcement。我觉得Ving后面似乎不接同位语从句。如果有哪位老师和网友看到Ving形式接同位语从句的（这个词本身没有名词形式的除外），请指出来，我也增长一下语法知识。我没有系统学过语法，都是凭对语言的直觉。
