地点状语从句之前可以加介词吗

看到网上说地点状语从句之前不能加介词，那如果加了介词，可不可以把从句看做是前面介词的宾语从句呢？

比如：I went to where we met the last week.

I went to where we met last week.（去掉 the）

黑体部分不是状语从句，而是名词性从句，作 to 的宾语。where we met last week，也叫 “名词性关系分句”，where 身兼两职，既是先行词也是关系副词。等于：the place where we met last week.

全句等于：I went to the place where we met last week.

你的句子是可以的。COCA语料库有不少类似例句，如：

I locked the door and went to where I had placed my computer.

One time I went to where my mom and dad's car wrecked at.

Valentin went to where Pepe was sleeping.

此时，where从句并不是状语从句，而是名词性从句作介词to的宾语。

COCA语料库went后直接用where作地点状语的例句：

I went where you told me to meet you! Where are you?

For years, multinational businesses " went where the labor was cheapest.

..., and I went where the wars were.
