1. would的用法:

Would you please do me a favor?

Would you mind if I opened the door?

I’d appreciate it if you could be quiet.

Wouldn’t it be great if you explained the reason to us?

2. could的用法:

Could you tell me the way to the station?

Could I speak to you in private a moment, John?

Oh, how could you be so stupid?

It's boring to walk all alone. Couldn't you go for walks with your friends?

3. might的用法

Might I ask what you're doing here?

You might as well bring me a chocolate next time.

I have got a lot of books that might interest you.

The drivers, as you might imagine, don’t care much about that.

【比较】could和might:

Could I use your telephone? (意味着I'm not sure if you will allow me to use your phone.)

Might I use your telephone? (意味着If I don't break it, would you mind my using your phone?)

但以下句子,would, could, might 则是表示过去。

My son could read and write when he was four.

He couldn’t have made such a mistake that day.

Reed told me he might be late.

She opened the windows so that the fresh air might come through.

She said she would take care of the child.

Mum would tell us stories before we went to bed.
