I really don't care if ...是宾语从句吗

人教版八上第三单元的一句话。

I really don't care if my friends are the same as me or different.

这里的care做动词的话，都是不及物，难道不需要加一个about 吗？

I(主语)//really(状语) //don't care（谓语动词）//（宾语从句） if my friends are the same as me or different.我真的不在乎/不介意我的朋友和我是否一样或者不同。

care vt.在意，在乎，介意，后面可以接if宾语从句，what宾语从句，that宾语从句

(1)主语+care if宾语从句

I don't care if you smoke. 你抽不抽烟,我不在意.

They didn't care if it rained 他们不在乎下雨还是不下雨.

Do you care if I record our conversation? 你介意我录下我们之间的谈话么 ?

(2)主语+care what宾语从句

I don't care what he thinks.我才不管他怎么想呢。

(3)主语+care that宾语从句

She doesn't seem to care that he's been married four times before.她似乎不介意他以前结过四次婚。

动词 care 后接 wh- 从句或者表示“是否”的 if 引导的从句时， about 通常被省略，在这种情况下，也可以把 care 看作是及物动词。例如：

I don't care what he does [whether he is right or not]. 我不在乎他做什么他是对或错（《英汉多功能词典》新编升级版p.249）

I don't care if you go . 我不在乎你是否去。（同上）

【注】有的词典如《牛津高阶英汉双解词典》第9版已经标明动词 care 可以作不及物动词也可以作及物动词。
