4 介词+疑问词+不定式
各位老师好！想请教一个问题，当出现介词+which/whom+不定式时，怎么区分这里的which/whom做的是关系代词还是疑问词，难道是通过介词和后面不定式中动词的搭配关系吗？

只需看“介词 + whom/which to…”前有无先行词，有先行词，whom/which 是关系代词，否则就是疑问代词。
① whom/which 是关系代词：
He has a son on whom to depend.
他有一个可以依靠的儿子。
This is no place in which to talk nonsense.
这里可不是胡说八道的地方。
② whom/which 是疑问代词：
I don’t know to whom to give it.
我不知道该把它给谁。
The variety often leaves parents and professionals confused about which to choose.
这种多样性经常让父母和专业人士感到困惑，不知该如何选择。

这是省略主语而用一个特殊的不定式短语（通常用主动式）代替或简化定语从句，不定式动作的执行者是句子的主语。又如：
The professor can hardly find sufficient grounds on which to base his arguments in favor of the new theory.教授很难找到充分的根据来支持他的新理论。
（on which to base = on which he can base，动作执行者是professor，which指代sufficient grounds）
Tomorrow would be Christmas Day, and she had only $1.87 with which to buy Jim, her husband, a present. 明天就是圣诞节了，她只有1美元87美分给她丈夫吉姆买礼物。（with which to buy = with which she could buy，动作执行者是 she , which指代$1.87）

你最好有例句。我给你找一个看是不是你想问的问题。Hotel North Beach is a perfect starting point from which to explore San Francisco. which应该是关系代词，可以看作是一种定语从句的省略。from whom to ... 也是同理。
