give的语义之一是permit （somebody) to take. 例如：

I will give you three days to get the report ready.

这个句子中，give you three days = permit you to take three days

take在表示某人花多长时间做某事这个用法时，take可以后接时间名词，也可以后接until介词短语或until时间从句。

Sb take three days to do sth.

sb take until a certain time to do sth.

Beyer estimated it could take until the end of next week to get all fuel stations operating again.

所以，give sb three days to do sth 和 give sb until Sunday to do sth. 都是有可能的。在后一种用法中，give为SVOA句型，until从句或介词短语作时间状语，不定式短语为与宾语有关的目的状语（不定式的逻辑主语为句子的宾语）。
