Our neighbor has as big a house as ours.

我个人认为这个ours使用是不正确的，应该是as we do。但是我看到好多地方这个句子都是这么说的。想问问老师这是一种口头比较随意的表达，用ours是可以的，还是我理解的那样它就是错误的？辛苦老师解答

章振邦《新编高级英语语法》P.667 认为下面二个句子意义基本相同，只是读起来调核不同：

I haven't seen as old a 'car as this for years.

I haven't seen a car as 'old as this for years.

COCA语料库也有类似例句：

London theatres have a vastly larger seating capacity than ours, obviously (for a complete list, see here).

Australia has a more sensible system than ours.

...Germany (which have lower costs and better outcomes than ours).

所以，我们不能认为Our neighbor has as big a house as ours. 是错误的句子。

我看到国外的语法书是这样解释这种现象的。两句用法都对，但as的词性不同。as ours. (介词 ), as we do (连词)。
