一般书上都说不定式的否定式是 not to do。如：
It was very rude of them not to answer. 他们不予回答是很失礼的。
Tell that boy not to get in the way. 叫那孩子不要挡住路。
He made up his mind not to say a word. 他打定主意一句话也不说。
She begged me not to tell her parents. 她求我不要告诉她的父母。
但在网上查到这样一句（来自柯林斯）：
Getting your priorities in order is a good way to not waste energy on meaningless pursuits. 将事情按优先顺序排列能有效地避免把精力浪费在无意义的工作上。
这句用的是 to not waste，请问这应如何解释？算错吗？谢谢！
