专八改错：这句中有一个单词存在错误

答案是将with删去，但是我认为fate和educated women之间存在被动关系，fate是被educeted women面对的，答案并没有提现这一点
其二，我不知道如何区分 主语+face +n. 和主语* be faced with+n. 表示“面对” 之间的区别，从查阅的资料上看，主语+ face+n. 表示主语主动主观意愿的面对，第二个是主语面临的一种状态，这个状态是想表达主语不是自愿的是被迫的面对嘛
那么放在这个句子中，educted women应该是面对fate的这个状态吧，毕竟不是她们上赶着去面对这个fate的，那要是这样说的话，是不可以按照答案的说法把. with去掉的
这句话是不是最好修改为Is this really the fate faced by educated women…

这里应该有两种修改方法，原文“...facing with educated women...”应该是定语从句的简化：
情形一：
Is this really the fate that faces educated women...(face 后面直接加宾语）
简化后就成为：
“...facing educated women...” （删除with）
情形二：
Is this really the fate that is faced with educated women... (be faced with 是较常见的collocation)
简化后就成为：
“...faced with educated women...” （变facing 为 faced）
因为不知道简化前的原文是什么，也没有上下文，所以这句简化后的句子应该有两种改法，分别对应原解析和曹老师的face + object 以及刘冬网友和提问网友自己的be faced with 解答。

当face作 to be a problem for (someone) : to require the attention of (someone) 这个意义解的时候，为及物动词，必须直接后接某人做宾语。所以原句中的the fate facing with sb. 属于face的用法错误。删去with，让facing直接后接某人做宾语。
你可以查词典，观察face作及物和不及物动词的英英释义，通过相应的词典例句去理解词义。

这道题虽说是专八题，其实仅是高中水平的知识点。有的高考题似乎考过这个知识点。关于你的句子，有这么几种说法：
1. the fate facing educated women （现在分词作后置定语）
2. the fate faced by educated women (过去分词作后置定语）
3. educated women faced with the fate(过去分词作后置定语）
4. Educated women are faced with the fate. (系表结构）
5. Educated women are facing the fate. （谓语动词的现在分词形式）
但一般不说The fate is facing educated women. 没见过这种用法，应该不符合英语惯用。（但可以用分词结构，如 1. ）
当然就这道题而言，只能是去掉with.
