上面，as是否多余？可否直接说成think of himself above the law ?

如果as是必须的，为什么后面可以直接加上介词词组above the law, 而不是as sth - sth需要是名词词组的性质呀？

as并非多余，而是think of A as B结构中必不可少的。as通常分析为介词，其后的动名词being常被省略。你加上 being也是正确的。 at least doesn't think of himself as above the law.至少不认为自己是凌驾于法律之上的。
