that从句用法困惑?

I dare say it would have been more seemly to decline this proposal. I think perhaps I should have made a show of the indignation I really felt, and I am sure that Colonel MacAndrew at least would have thought well of me if I had been able to report my stout refusal to sit at the same table with a man of such character. But the fear of not being able to carry it through effectively has always made me shy of assuming the moral attitude; and in this case the certainty that(1) my sentiments would be lost on Strickland made it peculiarly embarrassing to utter them. Only the poet or the saint can water an asphalt pavement in the confident anticipation that(2) lilies will reward his labour.

我对上面出现的2处that用法有困惑

1) that(1)这里是that引导的同位语从句吗?

2) that(2)这个that是否与前面的Only有关?但是不是太懂Only that或Only...that...这种用法的含义等? 麻烦老师解释一下。

非常感谢!

the certainty that my sentiments would be lost on Strickland

anticipation that lilies will reward his labour

这二个that从句都是前面加黑的名词的同位语从句。
