各位老师，这道题选择A。解释是从句缺少主语，因此不能选Where。这里的what = the place that / which。这个解释我能明白what = the place that /which 这句。

但是说缺主语，我就不能明白。像where are you? Where is your mother? 这样的句子，where was a wasteland?完全可以由后面的名词作主语，那么问题来了，如果后面的名词作主语，这三个句子中的where是做表语吗？
