学生反复查看了柯林斯on的42条用法，朗文的49条用法，感觉没有一条释义可解释以下句子或结构中on的用法。一，An honorary degree was conferred on him. 二，congratulate sb on sth 三，Troops advanced on the rebel stronghold.

An honorary degree was conferred on him. （on him：落在他本人的身上，没有“旁落他人之手”，on 指“方向”。）

congratulate sb on sth （on sth：依据/依靠/因为某事，向某人祝贺）又如：

On their advice I applied for the job.根据他们的建议我申请了这份工作。

Troops advanced on the rebel stronghold.（on 表示“朝向”。）又如：

There is a post office on the left.朝左边的方向有一个邮局。

He turned his back on us.他转过身去背对着我们。
