老师，such a beautiful city 这个短语的成分我有点不解。
我理解的是：beautiful 是做定语，修饰名词。such 在这里是做状语吗？修饰 beautiful 吗？

such a beautiful city 中的 such 不是状语，而是定语，因为这里的 scuh 限定词（类似形容词的作用，但要注意它在句中的位置与一般形容词不一样），它不是修饰beautiful，而是修饰名词 city，即 such 和 beautiful 都是修饰 city 的。又如：
Such a long delay is out of the ordinary. 耽搁这样长时间是少有的。
Who planted such a silly idea in his mind? 是谁灌输那样愚蠢的思想给他?
Plants grow naturally in such a good climate. 在这么好的气候条件下，植物可以自然生长。
They are fortunate to be able to buy such a large house. 他们真幸运，能买那样大的房子。
We did not provide for such a large increase in prices. 我们没想到价格的增幅会这么大，所以没有充分的准备。
Such a young girl has married three times? You don’t mean to say so! 那样年轻的一个小姑娘就结过3次婚了? 这不会是真的吧!
