还原后的句子应该是： It is fun to have a field trip on the Orange Island. 这里的fun是名词，因此只能用What fun it is to have a field trip... 如何非要用fun的形容词形式，解释说只能做定语。如果按照这个思想，则只能按照What a fun field trip it is这样，或者改成How fun a field trip it is也可以吗？可以我在朗文字典上看到一个例句： It's very fun. 那这里的fun做的应该是表语啊。如果fun可以做表语，那么how fun it is to have a field trip也就成立了！

当代英语中，fun 既可以用作名词（不可数），也可以用作形容词。既然这样，都可以按照各自的词性去造句。以下说法都合乎语法：
It is much fun to have a field trip.
→What fun it is to have a field trip！

It is very fun to have a field trip.
→How fun it is to have a field trip！

据此，还可以说：
What a fun field trip it is！
How fun a field trip it is！

fun可以是形容词，但作为形容词的fun只能作名词的前置定语，不能作表语。表语位置上的fun都是不可数名词。所以，你的问题只有一个答案，What fun it is ! 不可以用How fun it is ! 你可以查词典求证。

Fun is not used with ‘very’. You say:It was really fun.✗Don’t say: It was very fun.
