看了这个网站之前的问题解答，They have invested huge amounts of money to improve intimal security, making it almost impossible for the Scots to stage any kind of protest.里面说这句话是现在分词做状语修饰全句，我觉得这个是结果状语，属于修饰性状语，修饰性状语不是只修饰谓语吗?为什么可以修饰全句？我记得评注性状语才可以修饰全句。我觉得这个应该是修饰整个谓语have invested huge amounts of money to improve intimal security，请问老师这么说对吗?
