各位老师，感觉这句话写错了。我是觉得正确的应该是are much higher than those of the RP structure；应该加个those 来指代Both binding energy between the layered structures and molecule dissociation energy；不知道我的分析对不对?

Both binding energy between the layered structures and molecule dissociation energy of the DJ structure are much higher than that of the RP structure.

网友的理解正确。漏掉的是单数 that of（应该是单数，that 指 RP structure 自身的 energy，不是those ）。that 是个替代词，替代与前文重复的名词，在本句不可以省略。因为参与比较的成分是两类“energy”，而不是两种 structure.
