这句的should这里的should是表推测可能性？
(2) "Ha, you see it now. My eyes have been trained to examine faces and not their trimmings. It is the first quality of a criminal investigator that he should see through a disguise."
这里的should是表示“应该”的意思吗？
(3) "To London?" "Yes, I think that we should be more useful there at the present juncture."
这里的should是表推测可能性？而不是应该之意。

这些都是应该由你自己做出判断的问题。你自己分不清，就不要纠结了。看小说属于泛读，重点在于了解大意，在于速度。不要把小说当精读教材用，否则就失去看小说的意义了。
你读的小说中，主语为第一人称时，should有时=would，是英式英语。
