上句中的as well as应该是not only...but also...的意思吧？而不是as well as 和...一样好的用法？

as well as 除了比较外，还可以表示：

as well as 只有 not only 的意思，没有but also...的意思。as well as 后面的成分是次要信息。前面的那个成分是主要信息，理解为 but also 。就是说倒着翻译。例如：

Personal cleanliness is important to health as well as to appearance.

= Personal cleanliness is important not only to appearance, but also to health.

个人清洁不仅对仪表，而且对健康同样重要。
