live 和 be 都是延续性动词。延续性动词跟时间段状语连用是 “非终止用法”,也叫延续性用法,说话时该动作或状态尚未结束。不跟时间段状语连用是 “终止用法”,也叫非延续性用法,说话时该动作或状态已经结束。再次举例说明:
1. Tom has stayed here. (终止用法,说话时“汤姆已不在这里”)
2. Tom has stayed here for a week. (非终止用法,说话时“汤姆仍在这里”)
1. Tom has been ill. (终止用法,说话时“汤姆已经病愈”)
2. Tom has been ill for a week. (非终止用法,说话时“汤姆仍在病中”)
