第二题用how不算错误，但远不及what常用。COCA语料库 how do you think of sb/sth? 有27个例句。what do you think of sb/sth?有4175个例句。哪个更常用是一目了然的。所以，最佳答案无疑是what.
COCA用how的例句举例：
How do you think of this guy, huh?
How do you think of your problems?
How do you think of the victim at the time you're committing these crimes?
《韦氏高阶》think of 例句支持用how提问：
The hiring committee thought highly of her. [=had a high opinion of her]
I wouldn't want you to think badly of me.
这二个词典例句如果就划线部分提问，肯定是要用how提问的。例如第一个例句：
How did the hiring committee think of her?
how也可以引导名词性关系分句：
That's how they think of the new play.
= That's the way how they think of the new play. (They think highly/badly of the new play.)
但是，尽管网友的试题中用how不算错，但与what相比而言，what更为常用。不能因此而质疑试题，what为最佳答案是毫无疑问的。因为在direction中，试题明显要求你选择最佳答案，而不是唯一正确答案。
