    我大体了解before（two years before过去时间点之前）和ago（two years ago现在之前）的区别，也知道用before的话，时态应用过去完成时。但是今天遇到了两个句子：

    1. If you want to get up early, sleeping earlier the night before is expected to be successful. 

    所以，before并不限于 过去的时间点，可以扩展到 某个特定的时间点？

    假设现在是周三，我们讲度假计划：我们周六要乘飞机，当然前一天晚上要订机票。其中的“前一天晚上”可以用 the night before吗？ 

    2. （柯林斯 fight词条7）We think maybe he took off because he had a big fight with his dad the night before.

    because从句不用过去完成时是因为在从句里吗？
