我用一个简单例子说明。
Tom sold his house, as John did. 汤姆卖掉了房子，和约翰的做法一样。
as引导比较分句，对主句作补充说明。
比较分句的主语过长或者为了突出主语，可以采用倒装结构，即主语移至操作词之后（主语后移）。所以也可以说：
Tom sold his house, as did John. (突出主语John）
还可以用并列结构：
Tom sold his house; so did John. （并列句。so开头，必须倒装）
你的句子就是这种结构。你可以照此理解。
