究竟是came near doing sth还是came near to doing sth?
We came near to being killed.
He came near to killing her.
Goodson, years and years ago, came near marrying a very sweet and pretty
girl, named Nancy Hewitt, but in some way or other the match had been
broken off.
显然,上文上句came near marrying a very sweet...
而不是came near to marrying a very sweet...
(这里的 near 是介词):She came near being drowned.
come near to doing (在口语中 to 常被省略; 这里的 near 是副词,to 是介词):He came near to being run over by a car.
come near doing
come near to doing
come near(介词) doing
come near(副词) to (介词)doing
PREP Near means the same as near to. 接近
He was near (to) tears.
For almost a month he lay near (to) death.
Don't come near (to)me.
He drew his chair nearer (to) the fire.
He came very near (to) losing his life.
He came near (to) killing her.
