should表示推测性的含义翻译？

1) I thought I should burst with amazement - should表示的推测含义吗？应该怎么翻译出should的表示推测可能性的含义呢？

2）I didn't know a plantain-patch from a kangaroo! 中出现了know...from...这个怎么理解和使用？

should do 在此是过去将来时态。英国英语将来时和过去将来时，主语为第一人称时用shall/should do, 其它人称用will/would do. 美国英语部分人称一律用will/would do.
