I have as fancy a car as that one.

I have as fancy a car as that one.

I love you more than I love Mary,否则会引起歧义。

I love you more than I do Mary.

I have as fancy a car as that one.

I have a car as fancy as that one (is). 因为 that one 不是 I have 的宾语。 I have as much gold as silver. 这句 silver 也是 I have 的宾语。

I love you more than I love Mary.

I love you more than Mary. =

1. I love you more than I love Mary.

2. I love you more than Mary loves you.
