句子的翻译问题

He is not arguing, as many do, that we can no longer think straight because we do not talk proper.

翻译：他并没有像大多数人那样认为：我们说话的方式不再规范导致了我们无法准确思考。

as many do那部分为什么不翻译为“像大多数人一样，他并不认为......”而是翻译成“他并不像大多数人那样......”？

是因为否定转移吗？还是因为as many do是肯定，he is not arguing是否定，所以many和he是不一样的？也就是说如果many和he都一样认为的话是不是应该这么写：

He is not arguing, as many don't, that we can no longer think straight because we do not talk proper.

as many do：像许多人认为的那样。

前者是“不认为”，后者是“认为”。剩下的自己去翻译吧。
