not only...but also...可以用于否定句吗

请问老师：表示“不仅……而且……”的 not only...but also 句型能用在否定句里吗？

比如：他不仅不感激我，而且还不理我。

▲not only…but also…通常不用于否定句，要表示“不仅不……而且还不……”这样的意思，应考虑采用其他方法。如“他不仅不感激我，而且还不理我”可翻译成：
Far from thanking me, he ignored me.
Instead of thanking me, he ignored me.
▲但如果本身表示否定意义的词汇，也可直接用not only…but (also)…来连接，从而表示“不仅不……而且还不……”这样的意思。如：
It’s not only useless to trouble him but it is needless to do so. 去麻烦他不仅没有用而且没有必要。
