句式理解问题

(1)I still remember the whole incident like it was yesterday.

请问like it..是incident的定语吗？为什么它不是like it happened yesterday?

而是was,它是昨天不是很怪吗？

like it was yesterday 为非正式语体，= as if it was yesterday. 为方式状语，修饰remember

was (be) 在这里为不及物动词，意为 take place, happen. 所以，你用like/as if it happened yesterday也是可以的。

又如：The meeting will be tomorrow. = The meeting will take place tomorrow.
