where的词性

Please stay where you are. 这个where 是不是即可以视为连词连接了where you are 做状语从句，也可把where视为状语从句中的副词？

where you are：很简单很正常的地点状语从句，where 是从属连词，在从句中作 be 的表语。又如：

You can continue living where you are, without making external changes in your life.

你可以继续生活在你现在的地方，而不必在你的生活中做外在的改变。
