through 和 across 的区别：

1. through 和 across 都可以表示从一边到另一边的“通过”动作。

(1) across 指与“面”有关的动作（在物体的表面进行，与 on 有关）有关，如 across the street（或 the trees, the frozen lake, the square, the fields）。

(2) through 指与“立体”有关的动作（在具有长、宽、高的三度空间进行，与 in 有关），如 through the forest（或 the window, the trees , the town, the crowd）等。例如：

We walked through the forest. 我们步行穿过森林。

They built a bridge across the river. 他们建一座横跨河上的桥。

2. 比较下面每组两句话，注意其含义：

Let's walk across the park. 我们从公园过吧。（从面上过）

Let's walk through the park. 我们穿过公园吧。（从三度空间过）

They run across the grass. 他们跑过草地。（草很短）

They run through the grass. 他们从草地中跑过。（草很高，具有三度空间）

He took me across the field . （地上不一定有庄稼）

He took me through the corn-field. （玉米地里的玉米长得很高）

3. 通过一个洞时 ， 只能用 through 。例如：

Water flows through this pipe. 水流过管道。

The road runs through the tunnel. 公路穿过疏导隧道。 

4. through 不能用于作“细而长”的物体（如河流）之一侧到另一侧的动作。

不可说：She swam through the river. 

可以说：She swam across the river. 她游过河去。
