remain 是常见的系动词，表示“持续意义”。

表示“持续意义”的系动词：说明主语继续处于或保持一种状况。主要有 keep, remain, stay, continue, rest, lie, sit, stand。 例如：

I hope you’ll keep fit. 我希望你身体好。

He always kept silent at meeting. 他开会时总保持沉默。

The door remained closed. 门仍然关着。
