这里的 away 是副词，在句子中作表语；home 也是副词，在句子中作介词 from 的宾语。

from是一个比较特殊的介词，它后面常可接表地点的副词、介词短语或状语从句。

1. 接表地点的副词。如：from home 从家里，from there 从那儿，from upstairs 从楼上，from abroad 从国外，from outside从外面 ……

2. 接介词短语。如：from behind the door 从门后边，from under the bed 从床底下，from around the world 来自世界各地，from beside the desk从桌子旁边 ……

4. 介词 from 后也常接表时间的副词。如：from now (on) 从现在起，from then (on) 从那时候起，from today 从今天起，from long ago 从很久以前 ……
