我把所有的 other 去掉，句子在语法上仍然成立。这说明，后面名词的单复数与 other 无关，而是与前面的限定词有关。这样，你就明白：other 仅仅是用来排除前面已知信息用的。

（some 修饰单数名词，指“某一个”）

Jane and some girls went shopping.

（复数 girls 是前面有some，因此 some 修饰复数名词，指“一些”）

（复数 patients 是前面有all）
