“no + 比较级 + than”相当于用反义的形容词原形“as+形容词+as”：（例）no better than = as bad as / no worse than = as good as / no bigger than = as small [little] as / no longer than = as short as / no more than = as few [little] as / no less than = as much [many] as  (摘自《英汉多功能词典》新编升级版 p.1141)

    在“no + 形容词（或副词）比较级 + than”的结构里，其意义和口气在于强调该形容词（或副词）的反面性质。如：

    Now many neckties are no wider than a piece of string. 现在许多领带窄得像条绳子。（摘自赵振才：《英语常见问题解答大词典》增订版第五版p.957）

       从以上例句可以看出：“not any + 比较级 + than ”和“no + 比较级 + than ”这

两种句型的含义相同，但是与“not ...比较级 + than ”(比较级前面没有any)的含义不同。
